Mary Daniel’s short 2004 film Confessions of a Compulsive Archivist is a coming out film that utilizes old 16 mm film footage that was taken by the artist herself in the 1980s when she was an undergraduate student. Twenty years later she reuses this footage along with sewing patterns that belonged to her mother to tell a story sexual identity and the dreams of the life her mother had for the artist.
