Installations/sculputre > I was an Adjunct, 2017

Digital drawing and Bic pen on sketching paper
Entire Installation: 70"X65"
Each sheet of paper: 8.5"X11"

This work is an account of my experiences as an adjunct professor. It is hand written with a Bic pen as a diary, marks or thoughts on a digital drawing. This drawing replicates yellow lined paper that one can purchase at a stationary store. There are 31 sheets in total, symbolic of a calendar. Specifically the month of May, when the work was made.

The work points out the inequalities that exist within the American school system for both the students and a professor who is working part-time at one or several colleges
