My installations sculptures are constructed structures built from utilizing materials such as, bricks, plaster, wood, paper and textiles. I make objects and/or multiples that symbolize migration, conflict, female identities and a fusion of cultures. The creation of my sculptures is process based and repetitive in nature. The long repetitive techniques in my work are symbolic to the themes behind each piece As many times they represent either an internal or societtal struggles. The materials, the process and the objects that I create are a means to build a dialogue on contemporary issues involving migration, religious interpretation, media biases and cultural practices.
